Rapid increase in new businesses opening in Tulum, Mexico shows strong economic growth despite difficult economic times.
Mexico’s tourism industry has taken  hard hits in the wake of negative publicity throughout the country.  Many towns that relay on tourism have been devastated and as a result many businesses have shut down and many employees have started to look for new work.  One area that is determined to come out on top is the small tourist location of Tulum, Mexico.
This small Mayan town, known world wide for its stunning ancient ruins sitting atop a 40 foot cliff above the Caribbean Sea as well as having some of the worlds best beaches, sits at the southern tip of what is knows as the Rivera Maya.  Although many businesses in the area have been greatly affected by the speculations of swine flu, there is certainly a light at the end of the tunnel.
